Our Inspiration

Our journey began with our family’s experiences living and traveling around Asia and Latin America.  Living near the Himalayas, we developed a deep appreciation for the high quality and artistic products made in Nepal and the surrounding regions. Through our interactions with Nepalese artisans, we learned about the challenges they face in show casing their work to the world.

Driven by the desire to support  these talented individuals and their families, we founded Himalayan Gateway. Our goal is to open doors for local artisans by offering high-quality hand-knotted area rugs and home furnishings that reflect the rich cultural heritage of Nepal.
